SIMON LYNGE SIGNS TO LO-MAX
Lo-Max Records is proud to announce the signing of the hugely talented Simon Lynge from Greenland. Simon’s music roots are Inuit-Scandinavian. Raised in the beautiful tundras and steppes of Greenland, Simon’s early years were spent outside of school, helping to tend his neighbour’s sheep. He was constantly exposed to music and storytelling by his multitalented father Karl, who played accordion with the Rasmus Lyberth, the “Greenlandic Bob Dylan”, and he also worked with Eskimo folklore in the Tukak Theatre Group. Simon enrolled in the ideal Hostelbro Music Conservatory in Denmark, where his passion for music led him to the guitar and songwriting, and he quickly found himself co-writing and performing with exceptional talents in the Copenhagen songwriter scene. Invitations followed to perform at Kashmir Club in London, to write and perform on Nashville’s Music Row and in Los Angeles. Lo-Max will release Simon's debut album The Future in February. Meanwhile we are looking forward to seeing Simon when he comes over to tour the UK this autumn. We will be announcing these dates as soon as we have them confirmed. His first single will be available from Lo-Max 0n November 9, 2009. To see the amazing video that was shot on a glacier click HERE.
